Legal Thinking Skills and Conducting Legal Research

Why Attend

The role of a legal advisor is defined by their title. They must bear in mind that they cannot make decisions on behalf of the authorized party, nor impose a particular decision on them. Their opinion is merely advice for the authorized party to consider or discard. On the other hand, some believe that, through their extensive practical experience, interactions, and expertise, they have reached a level of knowledge and experience that enables them to dispense with the need for a legal advisor. This leads them to believe that having a legal advisor in an organization is merely an additional layer of responsibility that may hinder work. Therefore, it is best to keep them away from the vortex of employee violations, investigate them, and make recommendations.
