Tracking Illicit Banking and Combating Money Laundering

Why Attend

The United Arab Emirates has issued several pieces of legislation to combat money laundering, terrorist financing, and arms proliferation, including the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Law and the Counter-Terrorism Law. It also issued a number of important ministerial decisions in this regard, to effectively combat money laundering and monitor and combat illegal banking activities and their potential consequences, such as terrorist financing or arms proliferation. This training program will address awareness and a comprehensive understanding of the illicit financial phenomena and activities resulting from the increasing spread of illicit banking services. The training program aims to raise awareness about illicit banking activities, which may be behind or result in financial crimes such as embezzlement, financial fraud, money laundering, and terrorist financing.
