Problems of Judicial Control and Investigation of Environmental Crimes

Why Attend

The nature of environmental pollution in some of its manifestations necessitates the allocation of certain employees working in the Environmental Protection Department with special knowledge to detect and investigate environmental pollution crimes and prove them against the perpetrators using technical methods that are often difficult for general judicial police to detect and prove due to their lack of technical expertise. As a result, Arab environmental protection laws include provisions authorizing the Environmental Protection Affairs Agency and its relevant departments to grant their employees the necessary powers and authorities to carry out oversight and inspection of facilities and installations to prevent environmental crimes and violations, while proving them against the perpetrators if they occur. The study was divided into three sections. The first section addresses the nature of administrative and judicial control within the scope of environmental protection. The second section addresses the duties of judicial police officers in the field of environmental crimes. The third section addresses the problems facing environmental judicial police officers.
